  • Polar Bear Stomp and First Day Hike at Eagle Nest Lake State Park on January 1
  • Polar Bear Plunge into Eagle Nest Lake on January 1
  • Ice Fishing Tournament on Eagle Nest Lake on last Saturday in January
  • Annual Meeting of Friends of Eagle Nest Lake and Cimarron Canyon State Parks in February. Date TBD
  • National Trails Day Hike first Saturday in June
  • Kid's Fishing Derby at Gravel Pit Lakes, Cimarron Canyon State Park on Saturday before Mothers Day in June
  • Summer Potluck Meeting of Friends of Eagle Nest Lake and Cimarron Canyon State Parks in July. Date TBD
  • River Roundup on Cimarron River in Cimarron Canyon State Park, first Saturday in August
